How we began; from the Foothills of Himalayas
In the rolling green fields of Uttrakhand, morning mist still clung to the wheat plants when Bhanu walked the crop rows with her grandfather. He taught her to pick only the fullest pods — the ones that held the sun’s warmth and the soil’s strength. “Food should never lie to you,” he would say, sorting the harvest with calloused, gentle hands.
Years later, in middle east’s busy markets, she watched families fill carts with bright packets that delivered little truth: lentils that turned to mush, spices that lost their soul, oils that felt thin. She remembered his words. That ache became Puresto Foods.
To close the gap between honest farms and modern kitchens, Bhanu partnered with Indian families who still farmed the way her grandfather did — slowly, with respect for the land. Through Girija Earth Essentials she found partners who handpicked fragrant, long-grained basmati, and suppliers who chose toor dal and black chickpeas for protein and texture, never rushing the dry or the clean.
For Honesto cold-pressed oils, she sought traditional presses locally and in India where groundnuts, coconuts, and seeds were crushed at low heat, keeping natural goodness that refining steals. Whole spices came unground from trusted fields, so families could release their full flavor at home.
